We’ve had the pleasure of working with thousands of individuals and hundreds of organisations since our launch in 2008. Here you can read about how we’ve helped some of those clients past and present, and what it’s like to work with the Mudd Partnership to develop your senior leadership streams to be simply brilliant.
A new team of specialists drawn from across different functional areas of the council’s Children & Families Service, was set-up by Dundee City Council in 2019. Named the Pedagogy Team, its principal roles were to support the delivery of high-quality learning and teaching across all Dundee schools; build professional capacity; support improved attainment, collaboration and enquiry; identify effective practice; and provide opportunities to share these practices, together with successful interventions and pedagogical approaches.
the Mudd Partnership was subsequently asked to design and deliver a bespoke team development programme to enhance effective communication with multiple stakeholders; support team members to appreciate each other’s strengths; to listen and provide appropriate challenge; have difficult conversations; and work collaboratively while allowing schools to take ownership of improvement models.
A blend of team effectiveness diagnostics, workshops, Learning Into Practice sessions, and team coaching sessions with the facilitator working with the team in real time, were all used. The programme was successfully adapted to run virtually and its bespoke nature became a distinct strength during an increasingly challenging time for maintain high-quality service delivery during an beyond the pandemic.
Working in the wake of the 2020 COVID_19 landscape, we were invited to collaborate with the West of Scotland RIC (representing over 700 primary and secondary establishments) to develop and deliver a high quality virtual professional leadership learning experience.
The focus was on educational priorities within a turbulent landscape and the development of mission critical flexible and adaptive leadership capacity for the future. Building on the success of these collaborative programmes we were asked to design and deliver bespoke work for individual local authorities that specifically address local priorities.
For the past 7 years, the Mudd Partnership has worked closely with a number of Local Authorities across Scotland to design and implement leadership development solutions for Head Teachers (HTs). The approach adopted in each Authority has been co-design and co-facilitation, benefitting from the synergies created when expertise from the field of education is combined with expertise in leadership development.
